Fire fighting

On Tuesday I was served with a court summons for next Wednesday from the ex-landlady for ~10k. I am not a lawyer and I am certainly not fluent in legal terminology in the local language - I can however spot a shoddy document 50 feet away and this was laughingly full of holes. e.g., "Suzanne must pay rent until 31-07-2009" - I think she'll find I have already... perhaps she'd like to refund me the excess? Anyway, I've hired a lawyer who is delighted to get her teeth in to the case because my ex-landlady is the most hated lawyer in town - a very angry woman with no sense of class or even a little slice of stfu and is known to interrupt and shout at the judge! Anyway I have a very good case - I think she was expecting me to ignore the summons and she'd automatically be awarded judgement. She's fucked up in so many ways and has made illegal statements. Silly woman... you'd have thought being a lawyer you'd get things bang on the money!

It is a stressor though and tuesday night I was very upset and didn't sleep much. But now it's in the hands of my lawyer and for what I'm paying her, she can worry about it. It's risible anyway.

I got a bonus this week for the work I did in September which is nice - it'll pay the legal fees! ;-)

I told the girls at the stables last night that I'm pregnant and they are so excited for me "we're having a baby!", "we?". :-) All good.
