I didn't think there would be so much pain associated with pregnancy - but for me there is. Apparently it's "just" my rapidly expanding uterus and ligaments but fuck me it hurts. I will never, ever, ever understand anyone who says they didn't know they were pregnant until in labour. :(
Following on from my previous gripe about the prices of things, we managed to pick up a travel-system - that's a pram & buggy to you - with loads of "accessories" for the bargain price of 125 euros when it would've set us back 800 in the shop, so we're very happy with that.
Back at the midwife this morning and everything is going great - my little wriggler is wriggling and in 2 weeks we find out the sex. Then the REAL arguments can begin as we need to find a name which will work in Dutch/English and Scottish. Not such an easy task!
I am really hurt by my parent's indifference. I have ignored my mother for over a week now because she asked for a photo of BM, not "what's he like?", "where's he from?" - but a photo. This tells me all I need to know, she is, and always was a raging snob and wants to know if he looks "good enough". I sent my dad a text message last night saying I might be in Newcastle in May if he wanted to meet up. He didn't ask about the baby. It really hurts although tbh I should be used to it.
